Sencore IB78 RS232 Interface Accessory *NIB*
The IB78 RS232 Interface Accessory can be used with any Sencore instrument that is also IEEE-488 compatible. In order for the Sencore instrument to be interfaced to the IB78 it must have an interface accessory jack. The IB78 converts the special Sencore data format to the standard EIA-232-D recommend standard, and sends the data to the RS232 serial port of the computer/controller.
To operate the RS232 with your computer/controller it will be necessary for you to use a communication terminal program or write a program.
The IB78 RS232 Interface Accessory connects between your Sencore instrument and the RS232 port of the computer/controller. The IB78 converts the Sencore instrument signal to the RS232 format. Set up of the RS232 system has been greatly simplified by the IB78's automated features.
The IB78 automatically sets up for DCE or DTE, automatically switches for hardware or software handshaking, and is immediately ready to receive and send data once power is applied.
