Lots of 10 Ea: Optical Diode ICs
Lots of 10 Ea: Optical Diode ICs
When we first got these in, our initial research indicated that these MIGHT have been manufactured by Delta Electronics of Amesbury, MA who apparently are now either out of business or are running under a different name. They made a motion detector IC that these MIGHT be which was their number D1072 motion detector IC. The reason for the lack of being certain is that these are clear ICs with no marking or no part numbers on them. They each have 14 pins.
ASSUMING that these are Delta Electronics # D1072, here some information about the Delta Electronics # D1072 motion detector IC (in regard to using it as a part in a security system):
" Unique IC that includes a photodiode and lens."
" Operates on a change in light level."" The light sensor here can detect a change in light as little as +- 5 % and does not require a separate light source."
" The advantage of this system is that triggering results when any motion in the immediate vicinity causes either the direct or reflected light to change as little as 5 %. This change may be in either direction, more light or less light."
" The system operates in light levels varying from over a range of 1000 to 1; from as low as 0.1 candlepower, quite dark, to 100 candlepower- quite bright."
" The light sensor is contained in a molded clear plastic DIP housing so that light can reach an internal photodiode dector."
" A molded lens is mounted over the package to improve the sensitivity at low light levels."
We are offering them in lots of 10 each for 2 reasons:
1) To give manufacturers, resellers, kit companies, etc. a chance to get a small sample group to see if they will fit in with their needs and possible future quantity purchase.
Someone E-mailed us that they believe these to have been manufactured by Sprague (now Allegro Micro Systems in Worchester, Ma.). We cannot confirm or deny that information at this time.
is $ 9.00 to be added to the cost of the lot.
Add more lots of the same or any other designated lots of electronic components
plus, obviously, the cost of the lots. :-)
