Ok, I know that this is a precision SJ & CO taper sleeve. What I don't know is whether it is one or two. Look closely. It seems to be 2 sleeves stuck together. I have tried to get them apart, but I think it will take a machinist to do this task. I don't even know, maybe made this way, but I don't think so. The outside dimentions and markings are:
SJ & Co. (I was told this was for early morse
Overall length of entire piece is 6 1/4"
1 1/4 wide on base of largest piece
Frankly, I know this/these are expensive piece/pieces new. I'm letting it/them go cheap. If they come apart - 2 great pieces will be yours. If they are supposed to be this way - good. And if they don't come apart after purchase - I wanted to tell the entire story.
