Wellspring Wireless Submetering Products
Wellspring Wireless offers America's
most precise water and energy submetering systems.
Wellspring Wireless is a water and energy meter manufacturer committed to
* providing residents with accurate metering of their water and energy use
* making utility costs fair by giving lower bills to residents with good use habits
* helping conserve water and energy and protect the environment
WELLSPRING WIRELESS HELPS YOU SAVE
In the past, your water, domestic hot water energy, heat, electric or gas may have seemed to be free of charge, but in fact it was not. The truth is that landlords have to raise rents when utility expenses that they pay for go up. Which means that, with the old system, you could face rent increases because your neighbors are wasting water and energy.
With Wellspring Wireless, you will pay for what you use and nothing more. The invoice you receive identifies the consumption of each hot and cold faucet stem. Residents who are most concerned over their expenses can use this data to maximize savings.
Aqura water meters also identify leaks with a 'continuous low flow' alarm. The micro-processor in every meter is constantly looking for this condition, which is reported along with consumption data. Did you know that about one of every five toilets leaks an average of 20,000 gallons per year? Aqura will record these leaks long before the trickle is ever heard. You might find your repairman knocking on the door to fix a leak before you have reported it.
You can feel good knowing that the Aqura system will helps to conserve water and energy, benefits the environment, and keeps both your rent and your utility cost down.
Hermetically sealed, battery operated assembly is permanently attached to the flow sensor, meter or energy consuming appliance. Inside, a hall cell and a thermistor work with a microprocessor to record water consumption and energy use. Data is encoded, stored in non-volatile memory and transmitted by radio using an open ZigBee radio protocol with encrypted messages once each day. Radio transmissions last 0.2 seconds. One alkaline "D" cell battery provides a guaranteed 5 year life.
1, Aqura Submetering (Point Of Use Metering)
Do you own or manage an older property?
Finally you can easily recover the water and hot water energy cost. Wellspring's Aqura Submeter is the key component of a system that measures water and hot water energy. These meters, no bigger than your hand, are placed on every water inlet, both hot and cold, to the apartment. Behind the toilets, under the sinks, hidden behind the showerhead or at the hot water heater. Every day the collected consumption data is wirelessly transmitted to our data center where it bills can then be generated.
The Wellspring Energy Monitor records data from up to four conventional water, gas and electric meters fitted with an auxiliary contact closure device that intermittently closes a circuit after a specified volume of consumption. The monitor records each contact closure and maintains a count register of closure events. As with the Aqura Water and wet energy Submeter, data is passed to our data center. Energy Monitors also measure up to two temperatures and one fan motor electrical circuit, recording 'degree-minutes' of energy from baseboard radiation, fan coil units, cast iron radiators or hydronic heat pumps, whenever the fan is running, or the water is flowing.

Aqura routers are located in the common area, or inside selected apartment units, to form a mesh network that blankets the property. Every meter has at least two routers it may communicate with, and every router can reach several other routers to transfer messages. Data is passed along to redundant gateways, where data is made available on-line through a cellular modem IP connection, or to a conventional PC where it can be read or passed along through conventional phone modem.
