CD 3910 Core Removal Tool made by C&D Valve Mfg. Co..
The photo above is a stock photo of a new pristine unit that you would find on a shelf, mine is in the original package which is showing age from laying in the tool box, ( but never used ).
The CRT is used to remove a valve core from an 1/4" male flare access fitting, without loss of refrigerant.
Many operations can be performed with the valve core out, such as:
2) add or remove refrigerant efficiently
3) measure internal temperature ( digital temp meter acc. needed for this )
4) measure system pressure by attaching a guage to the side port which this tool has.
