This software package comes on a CDROM which includes versions of Adobe Acrobat Reader and Microsoft WORD for displaying the documentation (manual is included on the CDROM). BMP images files for each page of the manual are also included. This is a full (not just a demo) MSDOS product (will run in an MSDOS window with Windows 3.1, 95, 98, 2000, XP, Vista).
AIR FLOW - Duct and Fan Analysis.
AIRFLOW helps HVAC engineers quickly select duct and fan sizes. It calculates direct velocity and pressure as well as brake horsepower requirements under standard and non- standard conditions. Included are built-in formulas for applying temperature and altitude corrections. Also provided are duct roughness corrections which are sometimes necessary for treating nonstandard situations. AIRFLOW analyzes square, rectangular, and round ducts. Typical inputs are duct length, desired airflow rate, temperature, altitude, duct cross section, friction factor (default or from internal tables), and fan efficiency. A unique spreadsheet-like recalculation feature allows you to selectively change any input variable to obtain new solutions. Using this feature, you can quickly arrive at a practical specification.
AIRFLOW includes a 30-page manual on disk. Standard English units are used.
