These are essential to any car mechanics, auto technicians or car audio installers electrical tool kit. They allow speedy identification of electrical circuits, and cabling, locate short circuits or open-circuits, and aid multi-meter measuring or analysis This is a pair (one red and one black) of top quality Hirschmann safety clamp-type test probes consisting of: 1 off KLEPS 2700 Black, Hirschmann order code 972307100 and 1 off KLEPS 2700 Red, Hirschmann order code 972307101.
The sprung stainless steel tip can contact the conductor in insulated leads and cables with cross-sections between 0.25 mm sq. and 1.25 mm sq. (3.5 mm diameter) without the need to strip them. They pierce the insulation with a fine needle and make contact on the conducting wire allowing testing of the circuit. They are fully insulated so there is no risk of inadvertent short circuiting. When removed the wire insulation is still intact and requires no making good with insulating tape, heatshrink or sleeving. Will accept any standard 4mm diameter plug connection on measuring test leads. These are IEC 61010 IEC 1010 approved and rated at AC/DC 1000 Volt Category III. Rated current 10 Amp. Contact resistance 100 mOhm.
