This is a sleeve made to fit the early Amspray and Wagner airless paint sprayers. This is for the 296 and 396, sleeved, fluid sections. Part number 289. List price is $101. Those are the original style fluid sections for: Model 4, Model 6, Avenger, Corsair, Blue Max, Chief, Warrior, Glidden 500, Sprint, M.A.B. Cheetah, Cougar, Sinclair SPC 2000 / 3000.
The fluid section on these are characterized by a round foot valve with two flats. The fluid section body is flush where the foot valve screws in....Later types have an overlaping, larger OD, foot valve.
While is may be obvious that your machine needs to be repacked, a worn cylinder sleeve is less obvious. You must clean and check cafefully the inside of the cylinder for smoothness. A scratched, chipped, or corroded sleeve will chew up new packings in a hurry.
