Basic atom 4 stamp sized microchip pic based module kit
This module uses the 28 pin Atom Interpreter Chip version A ( included in the kit of parts) which is a Microchip PIC16F876A with bootloader installed. It can be programmed in BASIC using the free Atom compiler you can download at basicmicro.com. Just needs a serial connection to your PC. Will work with many RS232 to USB adapters also.
This module is the same size and pin compatible with the Parallax Basic Stamp 2 OEM module.
Please Note: This is a kit! It is not fully assembled!
The advantages over Basic Stamp 2 are:
* More Memory for Variables (RAM)
* Faster Speed (about 5 times faster than BS2)
This is a great module to get started programming with. It will plug directly in a breadboard. This is a complete kit of parts that just needs to be soldered together. It comes with assembly instructions.
