New mounted rotating laser qswitch, yag, dpss
This q-switch comes with a machined aluminum mount, anodized gold with securing screws for the q-switch and a hole pattern suitable for mounting to any standard resonator frame. The q-switch shaft has an index reflector for position sensing. Other mechanical q-switches only have a magnetic sensor that is problematic and unreliable. The index reflector on this q-switch is extremely accurate and problem-free. The rotating q-switch presents the lowest-cost solution for q-switching a solid-state laser. The poro prism reflector takes care of one alignment plane making the alignment of the q-switch significantly easier than a rotating flat mirror. Additionally, the corner cube design places the q-switch in full alignment with the resonator HR or out of alignment with no partial alignment regardless of the rotation speed of the q-switch. This is essential to the proper operation of the q-switch.
o Output Power without q-switching = 0.8 watts/pulse
o Output power with q-switching = 3,000,000 watts/pulse
The q-switch pictured is dampened so that it emits no noise or vibration when operated at normal rotation speeds (it will complain if you attempt to spin it at 200+ revolutions per second, which is way too fast for a rotating q-switch).
