Corrosion in Piston Intake Valves is a common problem, resulting in minor leaks to complete failure, depending on service conditions and water supply. The Elkhart Brass solution is the addition of an anode to our standard intake valve. In accelerated testing under extreme conditions, corrosion was stopped through the use of a sacrificial anode which electrolytically decomposes to inhibit corrosion of the surrounding metals, eliminating the metal breakdown of the product itself.
