The brand new field proven USB-TurboTenna waveguide antenna is equipped with the high performance 802.11b/g USB2.0 WiFi dongle that comes with a 3 meters USB cable as a complete WarDriving kit. Instantly improves your computer's WiFi reception capability beyond the built-in standard factory gear. It works within minutes. Simply plug in the USB cable of the USB-TurboTenna antenna to the laptop or desktop PC and follow a few simple clicks for CD-ROM driver installation - there is absolutely no need to worry about the cable compatibility issue.
The USB-TurboTenna is 30cm long with 8.5cm diameter that provides sufficient waveguide runway for ultimate beam focus, resulting in penetrating the concrete walls to improve signal strength and quality. We use NO PAINT on the body of the antenna so it is free from the hazardous lead materials usually found in BLACK paint. Besides, we paid our workers fairly beyond the standard of FairTrade. Unlike other cantenna that uses the off-the-shelf materials with shorter length and larger diameter, the USB-TurboTenna is precisely engineered and manufactured to provide the optimal performance. Design Tips. Why external dongle rather than internal?
We could hide the dongle inside the antenna but this is not going to give you any protection for outdoor application particularly during raining and thunderstorm.
The reason for this is that lightning could induce electric shocks through the USB cable and could subsquently damage the terminating equipment.
The external dongle offer the flexibility of cascading an optional lightning arrestor between the antenna and the USB dongle. You may also daisy-chain a RF amplifier in case you need more horse power in the future.
