NEW Large Solid Walnut Machinist Chest 20 Drawers
This is a new and hand made chest of my own design. I was told it could be great for storing supplies, and tools.
It has 20 drawers, each is lined with soft dark green felt.
On top drawer is a long drawer 28" wide inside.
On the bottom are 3 large drawers, that would be great for jigs, fixtures, etc.
Five medium size drawers on each side are for great for keeping tool of various types organized.
Six small drawer are ideal for small tools, taps, small drill bits, etc.
Each drawer sets in it's own box shaped opening with extra clearance to insure they do not stick, and there are no rails to fall off of. Simply pull the drawer out and carry it to work area to select items.
Case is made of SOLID 3/4" thick black walnut outside and inside. No mystery wood hidden in there, it is all solid walnut.
Drawer sides, and real fronts are of light and dark colored black walnut, with burl, and other interesting grain patterns.
The drawer bottoms, dividers, and back are oak veneered plywood. (the good stuff) It is more stable, and thicker that mystery plywood, and cost twice as much!.
Overall the chest is approx 33-1/2" wide, by 20-1/4" high, by 15-1/2" deep. ALL drawers inside are over 12-1/2" long. Depth vary from 1-1/8 to 2-5/8" deep.
This included AK, PR, VI, and HI. which can be very expensive!
