5 Micron Poly spun Sediment Filter
10 Micron Granulated Activated Carbon Filter
This is the most common filter for all of house water filtration. It includes a sediment filter and a carbon filter for town water to remove Chlorine and other nasty chemical contaminants.
The 1" in /out gives high flow so you don't experience flow restriction as you would with smaller 2" filters which only have 1/2" or 3/4" threads.
We have applied hundreds of these with a quality carbon filter for skin allergies or just for fresher smelling and tasting water.
If you have dirty water, dam, river, creek, or even dirty tank water you should look at using this twin filter with a sediment filter first then the carbon filter second, the sediment filter will protect the carbon from blocking prematurely, therefore it will prolong the life of the more expensive carbon filter.
