Here we have a very nice Floating Tapping head.
This type of floating head helps to automatically align your tap to center if your spindle center is not perfectly aligned with the center of your hole to be tapped, and it also floats up and down vertically if your spindle is vertical. This is called a tension compression holder.
It only has one collet with it right now, it is for holding 9/16" bolt thread taps.
The shank has threads that are 1" diameter with a key drive.
The threads almost look like acme threads.
