X10 neodymium disc 7/8"X1/8" magnets ndfeb magnet

If you have not heard of Neodymium (NdFeB) magnets before, not to worry. They are in the family of Rare Earth magnets with Neodymium being the absolute strongest type of magnet available. They are even sometimes called permanent magnets.
This is a very useful size for a magnet and very strong. You can hold things up, store tools, stick them on your walls, or make gonzo powerful fridge magnets. How powerful - it will just hold an 88 page edition of the news paper The Independent. These are a good deal more powerful than the D3/4" discs.

Neodymium magnets have an incredibly powerful magnetic field. Extreme care should be taken when dealing with some of the larger sizes. Even a pair of 1/2"x1/8" discs can cause a reasonably uncomfortable pinch. Separating magnets may be difficult and will most likely require that you slide them apart as you probably will not be able to pull them apart.
Neodymium magnets tend to be brittle and can shatter into small pieces if allowed to slam together. They are also not suitable for machining due to their brittle nature. Unless otherwise noted, Neodymium magnets will start to lose their magnetism at temperatures above 80c (176F).
