These calipers feature absolute linear encoder technology. Allows direct measurements from power on. You can forget the time consuming origin setup which otherwise is required each time the power is turned on. Zero-setting of the display is also possible at any slider position for easy comparison measurements. Large, .295" high LCD digits allow measurement results to be at a glance.
The battery, IS included and has a 20,000 hour (3.5years) life.
