R36 is a cermet grade from Robinson Tool Specialties. R36 is similar to Ceratip TC40. R36 works well for high speed finishing of steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and most non-ferrous materials where excellent surface finish and / or size control is critical. Works well for turning, milling, threading and grooving applications.
These tools cut full nose radius groove to a width of .062". Use for "O" ring grooves etc. Maximum groove depth is .156"
