Presewn Firefighter's Escape/RIT Sling

We've had Sterling Rope make these Presewn 1" nylon tubular webbing slings especially for rescueDIRECT.com! This is a 20 foot piece of one inch tubular webbing that is bartacked into a 10' open sling rated at over 5,000 pounds minimum break strength. Sewn slings are stronger, less bulky and more dependable than knotted slings. Made with high quality Sterling mil-spec webbing and computerized precision bartacking for exceptional strength while remaining lightweight. Some of the many uses include:
* Clip into Main searchline for building searches
* Anchoring for Bailout rope
* Constructing a hasty harness
* Raising and lowering tools
Always make sure to inspect all webbing and rope after each use and retire the product if heat or stress damage is suspected. As with all RIT, RIC or FAST equipment, these slings should be used by trained personnel only. (Color is Orange - Carabiner not included)

The photo below was taken on 4/20/04 shortly after a devastating tornado ripped through downtown Utica (it missed our store by 2 blocks). While 7 people were rescued alive, eight fatalities were eventually recovered from the wreckage. Our heartfelt thanks goes out to all the fire and rescue workers, the Salvation Army, Red Cross, FEMA, IEMA, State, County and Municipal law enforcement agencies, and hundreds of volunteers who helped our community in its time of need.
