A pulser is an instrument that takes the place of the Geiger tube or
other probe on a Geiger Counter, for calibration purposes. It will deliver
a precise train of pulses that are read out by the Counter, and allow the
Counter to be calibrated. In addition, the output level is adjustable and
reads out on a meter, so that the proper operation of the counter input
circuitry may be verified. The Counter Per Minute setting is done via two
rotary switches, one setting the base frequency and the other is the
multiplier. Overall range is from 10CPM to 16 million CPM. Output level is
continuously adjustable with a 0-3 Millivolt meters scale, 01-10 mV,
0-100 mV, 0-.3 V, 0-1 V and 0-3V scales.
