Micarta® Linen Grade (LE) is a high pressure laminate with linen fabric in a phenolic resin .This grade machines better than the CE grade. Great for lathe or milling machine fixtures, electrical insulators, structural insulating applications, sparkproof parts, small gears, pinions, radio parts, marine switch board panels, wear blocks, lubricated guides, prototype parts, knife scales, gun grips or sword handle material ect. Can withstand temperatures up to 125 degrees Celcius. Great tensile and flexural strength. The worst side always shown in photograph.
Tensile strength = 10,000 psi.
Flexural strength = 17,000 psi.
Maximun operating temperature = 125 degrees celcius.
Great for Knife scales, pistol grips and sword handles also.
